This July we are hosting a family-friendly film night which we hope will open eyes and inspire, as we take a trip across the globe to witness the plastic pollution crisis alongside the awesome surfers, paddle boarders and water people for whom the ocean is their life.

Massive thanks to our Community Ally, and Plastic Free Business Champions, Penlee Open Air Theatre for putting on this fundraising night for us. All profits will come back to plastic free initiatives in the town and we are super appreciative of the support.

Tickets are £7 for adults and £5 for kids and you can also pre-order food on the link here.

We thought it would help to know what films we were screening and to wet your appetite here are the trailers. They are all lovely in their own way and all provide an insight into the plastic pollution problem as well as solutions and actions we can all take to help.

First up is ‘A Plastic Wave’ which charts local surf school owner Dave Muir’s discovery of the global problem and community action back here in Sennen to turn the tide.

‘Skye’s the Limit’ is a beautiful account of Cal Major’s Paddle Against Plastic mission to circumnavigate the Isle of Skye

And ‘North of the Sun’ tells the story of two Norwegian surfers who head to a remote arctic bay in search of waves.

Come and hear from guest speakers who will introduce each film … and feed your imagination.

Doors at 7.45pm on Wednesday 24th July
